On Sunday, May 10 Brandon turned six weeks old. Each week seems to go faster than the one before. He is growing and changing right before our eyes. We finished our first week at Nana's, and I swear Brandon grew from the time I dropped him off 'til the time I picked him up. Brandon had learned how to turn his head from side to side when he is on his stomach. Such a big boy! We also had a very important doctors visit on Monday. Brandon was not gaining weight like his doctor wanted, but after Monday's weigh-in our minds were put at ease. Brandon weighed in at a huge 9lbs and 5oz. For those of you who are counting -- that is 2lbs and 1oz in two weeks!!! Our prayers were answered when we saw that scale - then Brandon proceeded to 'baptise' the nurse. We were so busy celebrating his weigh gain, that we forgot to watch the diaper. So funny! He seems so much bigger now. His colic has days that are getting better, and days that are not as good. We are working on sleeping longer stretches. Brandon now sleeps about 3 hours in a row at night, and yes that is a long time!
Sunday was also my first Mother's Day, and my mom's first Mother's Day as Grammy. Cody and I decided to surprise the families with an unannounced visit. We first stopped in Hearne to visit Cody's family, and then went to Temple to surprise my family. Boy, they were surprised. We had a great time. We got to eat at Cody's favorite Temple restaurant -- Jody's. On Mother's Day we went to College Station. My parents and Cynthia were helping Kristina move out of the dorm. So sad that I was unable to help with that. (Can you hear the sarcasm???) It was really nice to spend my first Mother's Day with Brandon and Cody and my family.
Grammy and Brandon are inseparable! Grammy is the world's greatest burper.

More burping!

And even more burping!

Aunt Cynthia and Brandon hang out.

Aunt Cynthia is on 'binky patrol'. If you want him to stay asleep, you will keep it in his mouth! Any suggestions for getting him to put himself to sleep?
