Our Hospital Stay

We spent a little longer in the hospital than planned. Our stay was very eventful, just as the delivery was. Brandon spent a little over 24 hours in the NICU, so we ended up staying in the hospital four days. We are blessed that everything is fine now with our little boy. We were very ready to go home, but enjoyed all of the family and friends that came by. We are so fortunate to be surrounded with such amazing people.

Daddy looks at Brandon. It is amazing.

Grammy holds Brandon for the first time.

"I am not listening!" Brandon is practicing for his teenage years.

Our great friends - Chip and Heather hold Brandon. They even made a special trip to Target to get Brandon some preemie diapers. We asked our nurse where to buy preemie diapers after my parents were unable to find some. She replied at "a store". Thanks that was very helpful!

Aunt Kristina! My Uncle Bill and Aunt Regina also visited us.

Aunt Cynthia is already telling Brandon she is the favorite aunt. Talk about brainwashing.

Mommy looks at Brandon. I can't believe that whole human was in my stomach!

Our friends Daniel and Natalie stopped by to see our little monster. They earned mega points with the Route 44 Sonic drinks they brought us!

Daddy and his little man! Daddy is so proud.

Mommy sporting glasses - pink eye is always fun.

Dr. Winklemann smiles after Brandon's "little surgery". Ouch!

Papa holds Brandon. His 15th grandchild, and soon to be favorite.
Granny is hiding on the side. She doesn't hold newborns; she uses pillows.

This is the sign they made for Brandon in the NICU. The nurses and doctors were so nice. They were very supportive of us and made us feel a little better about leaving Brandon in their care.

Snoozing! Finally out of NICU.

Dr. Yau, our peditrician, checks Brandon out while Daddy holds him.

Shannon, one of my co-workers and friend, holds Brandon. She was so sweet to bring us dinner one night. We really appreciated it.

Getting ready to go home.

The Adams Family headed home. We were finally allowed to leave. Yea!

Loaded up! Brandon was too small for his car seat and had to be secured with blankets.
