17 Weeks: July 20 - 26

Yeah, yeah. So I am not super prompt at updating this thing but I am going to try to catch up by the time school starts. Once it does, all bets are off!!!

The summer is quickly winding down, although you would not know that by this insane heat! When is fall again?? Brandon is growing so fast. He is laughing more and has discovered his tongue, such an important skill. Brandon went to visit his friend Tyler. They had a great time 'talking' to each other.

Tyler and Brandon

Two boys just hanging out!

We aren't so hard to tell apart now, are we?

We went for a night out with Brandon. We had dinner and then went to the Woodlands Waterway. For those of you who don't know, it is kind of like the River Walk in San Antonio - on a smaller, less crowded scale.

We're ready!

It was hot, but not that bad since the wind was blowing.

Mommy, Daddy, and me

Hey, what's that?

Such a cute pair.

Mommy and Daddy - Brandon was hanging out in his stroller.

Um, guys I am tired of pictures. Can we go home now?

Summer Fun - July 13 - 19

The summer is hot and soaring by at amazing speed. Brandon is growing and changing every day. He is trying to sit up and loves to pull up to stand. I think it gives him a new vantage point. Brandon learned how to scream this week. Super!! He seems to save practicing for when we are in a crowded store. Brandon will just let out this high pitched scream and then smile. Everyone one, of course, turns and stares. I think it is funny, but not everyone shares my opinion.

We tried out Brandon's pool this week. He liked the sprinkler and the big pool. That was not the case for his little pool. I think the water was too cold for him - he started crying. After a few dips, he got used to it.

Chillin' in my pool!
Lexi and me swimming.

Oh, this water is refreshing!

Bath Time Bubbles

Brandon started putting everything in his mouth a few weeks ago, and when I say everything, I mean everything. Here are a few cute bath pictures that illustrate that point.
Soapy and sleepy!

Yum, these bubbles are delicious.

"What do you mean, 'stop eating the bubbles'?"

More snacking!

Eating some more soap.
I guess the threat to wash his mouth out will not phase this stinker.

All Clean!

Tummy time!
"What are you doing down here?"

Brandon is 'talking' to his animals on his blanket. He likes to talk to the monkey best.

Tuckered out from tummy time.

Our sweet boy.
Right now my fingers are one of his favorite things to play with.

Just talking away!
