20th Annual Henson Bash

Last week flew by again. Where is my summer going???? Brandon and I spent the week at Grammy and Pops' house. It was under major construction! We spent most of the time just hanging out and watching HGTV. I loved spending time with my mom and I think she enjoyed seeing Brandon (wink, wink).

Grammy and Brandon chat!

Brandon playing with his toy. He loves this toy, but when he shakes it, he always hits himself in the head! So Grammy does not let him play with it, Mommy does when Grammy is not looking.

All dressed up for lunch. Brandon put on his nice stuff to meet his aunts for lunch. He looks so tall in this pictures!

Mmmmm, lunch sounds good!

20th Annual Henson Bash
I am soooo ready for my first Henson Bash. Zzzzzzz!
Thankfully Brandon slept for most of the three hour drive.

Daddy drove us the whole way!

Mommy was in the back on Binky Patrol - very important job that is difficult from the front!

Smiling at Mommy!

I love this picture. Complete with drool - Brandon's new favorite hobby!

We arrived at cousin Ann's house - thanks for hosting.
Playing with my favorite toy on Saturday morning, this is how I like to start my weekend!

Wearing my official class of 2031 gear.
Mommy says that was the last time, cause I am a big boy now.

Daddy and his little Aggie!

Aunt Cynthia and Aunt Margaret steal the camera and take their own picture.

Uncle Andy, Aunt Kristina, Pops, and Aunt Cynthia sit around and talk.

Aunt Kristina relaxes in the shade. It is not too hot yet!

These are the world's problems we solve at Henson Bash - determining what graphics are on Aunt Kristina's shoes. Everyone is enthralled.

Uncle Evan and Brandon

That is what Brandon's hand will look like with his Aggie Ring! Whoop!

Look Mommy, I am playing in the grass!
This is one of my favorites!

Mommy and Daddy bake in the shade! It was soooo hot!

Aunt Margaret and Aunt Cynthia thought it would be a great idea to give Brandon leaf to play with. It went straight to his mouth. Thanks.

Matching hats!

Tuckered out!
Brandon had so much fun that he slept like a rock! We had to strip him down because he got so hot outside.

Waiting to eat at Grammy's.

Back at home.
Brandon loves to be read to. He likes the pop up book Aunt Kristina found. He tries to grab the pictures off the page. So cute!

July 4th

Another week has flown by. The summer is just going way too fast, and before I know it I will be going back to school. Yuck! Brandon is just continuing to amaze us with how quickly he is growing. Brandon turned 14 weeks on Sunday. He is perfecting his newly learned rolling over talent. It is slightly frustrating when I put him down to sleep and he immediately rolls over. It is his little way of saying, "Mommy, I am not tired yet. You are doing something much more fun." Although it is nice that when Brandon wakes up, he just rolls over and 'talks' to his animal friends on the bumper pad. It is precious. The other day I walked in to check on him during a nap, and Brandon had scooted over to the bumper. He had his hands on the tiger's face, looking directly at the tiger, just talking away. Too cute!

My hands just stay in my mouth now. Yummy - thumbs taste good.

Just talking with Mommy.

Smiling at tummy time.

Such a sweet face.
I adore his smile. How can you have a bad day, with this smile waiting for you?

This week was full of little projects. One being, blowing up Brandon's pool. Now smart people would have bought an air pump, but not us. We blew this up with our own 'hot air'. Thankfully we have plenty. Just so you know, Cody was the major contributor since he has more 'hot air'.

Hanging out with Mommy.

Brandon has started scootching (technical term) all around his crib. It is always interesting where he ends up in his crib or play pen. Here is a little snap of how he scootches in his sleep, and as you can see, putting the pads under him is a lost cause. I have a feeling he is going to be one of those kids that his their feet on their pillow in the morning.

We had Dominick and Lexi for most of the week. Dominick learned how to clean the grill and helped Cody cook hot dogs, with supervision of course.

Two for one special.

Fourth Of July 2009
We had a great Fourth of July. Our wonderful friends, Chip and Heather, had us over for some food and fun! The kids had a great time playing in the pool, and we really enjoyed hanging out with friends.

Brandon's Fourth of July Get-up!
So patriotic!
Um, what are the safety precautions for the fireworks going to be?

Daddy and Brandon hanging out with the guys.

Snack time!

The kids had such fun in the pool. Evan is trying to get in.

Watching everyone in the water.

Lexi watched the 'little kids' play in the water as she waited on watermelon.

Mommy and Brandon. He was a little hot and a little tired at this point.

Just the Guys.
Cody's friends from high school. Manny, Cody, and Chip.
Just Playing Around
Brandon has decided he actually likes his activity mat now. He likes to swat at the butterflies and the zebra/cat/we are not really sure what it is. Brandon even likes to talk to them. They are his 'pets' for now.

Talking to his pet.
Notice the concentration and skill!
Take that, and that!
Okay I am done.
Fine, I will just sit here and chew on my hands.
